iCloud move requires Lion phew!
I have a mobile me account. I quite like it when looking at my mails I don't have to deal with looking at ads, it seems to work well , relatively free of spam.
Now for the past 6 months I've been hounded to changing to iCloud, which doesn't suit me at all, as I will be forced to upgrade to Lion for iCloud compatiability. Lion is going to stress to my aging 2007 imac I believe.
I'm asking here anyone using an older mac with a 2.4 Ghz core duo 4 gb ram with Lion? How is the performance.. What are any issues you are experiencing, any problems with plug ins?
I know that Lion does not work with Rapture as it's not using Rosetta anymore. My U-he plug ins are updated as well as the AAS stuff. Not sure about Surge, NI seems okay.
Should I upgrade to Lion to keep my emails and lose what? I don't know yet, but I think I'd like to avoid OS upgrade pain as long as possible..
I'm getting my mac mini setup going very soon so there is always the option of using iCloud from that setup, but I'd envisioned using the imac for internet and keeping the mac mini modular mostly internet free..
Regards
Wade
