Realtime Automation, a way to record automation moves.

Going to be a real nice improvement..

Thanks for your reply but that doesn't answer my question. Since the length is limited, i assume automation is not coupled to tracks/lanes? So you record an automation, what happens when it reaches the end of the given time? Does it loop? Or stop and you can then trigger it?

Would be crazy if you'd add cv ins for transport and playing position then

Or am I missing something?

So or so, very excited!

It loops automatically. No track integration, that will have to wait a bit...

No automation on the master transport -- too easy to cause infinite loops that way, but you can do some pretty twisted things within a sequencer module...

Just had a go with the Launchpad and Realtime Automation. I admit, didn't understand what this was about until I tested it, - similar to a lot of Numerology's features

Very cool feature!

Good lord this is killer. Am using it to record moves on aalto's index using my novation remote controller, and step values using the launchpad - instantly nutty. Like a super focused cv recorder, love it, looking forward to seeing this feature develop.

RTA is definitely a cool thing, though I myself am still trying to sort out both the best way to use it for myself, and the best way to 'present it' to users. The goal is to make it super-easy to record and loop controller moves:

- start RTA
- tweak some params via controllers
- stop RTA
- param tweaks are played back and looped.

As usual, the devil is in the details -- quantizing to beat/bar boundaries (or not), enabling and disabling individual RTA tracks, what to do about presets, etc.

Jim

It's in the top left under 'Numerology 4', it's called RTA Report. Or press Alt+CMD+R to the RTA window.
You can midi/osc map the RTA Record button if you go to preferences > 'controller setup' and pick either 'midi' or 'osc transport'.
