Default Numerology 4.1 Build 156

Some new fixes -- However, some updates for the AUMX and a few other things are postponed until the next release. Per usual, don't hesitate to ping me if you are waiting on a fix and have not heard anything from me in the last few days...

Release Notes:

Numerology 4 Build 156

- FaderBox : Fixed an issue with MIDI Learn on Quantized faders.
- FaderBox : Fixed an issue with MIDI CC reflection on faders with custom ranges.
- ParamMod on Seq Direction (via 'Add Modulation'), fixed a value-scaling issue.
- SampleKit : Fixed an issue (null Preset) that could cause a crash when loading a project.
- SampleKit : Fixed an oddball playback glitch (TapNode, rev. playback)
- CC Gen : Fixed an issue with 'minimum values' for CCs.
- OSC In : Fixed an issue w/ CV output from this module with certain OSC arg combinations.

Oh dear, gotta ask this...

will there be launchpad mk2 support?

I'm in shock here, just discovered Novation aren't supporting it with Automap..

But Numerology is really why i got the new one, but um, it's not working at all.

:-(

So I'm guessing you mean the Launchpad Pro -- the RGB one? It has a new MIDI API and is just starting to ship… All the other varieties (Launchpad, Launchpad S, Launchpad Midi) are already supported -- but you do need to make a 'Controller Setup' for them...

Cheers,
Jim

I didn't realize the Launchpad MKII existed, but looking at it, I have to assume that it has a new MIDI API as well. The fact that it has RGB LEDs is not only a hardware concern. The MIDI API has to support the ability to control RGB colors. I bet Numerology needs to be updated to support this new MIDI API for the new MKII to work.

I'm sending it back...it's useless outside of Live..

it doesn't even have the pressure sensitive pads, much less any way you can alter the note values they send.

Novation have been very sneaky about all of this...dropping Automap support etc. I spoke to the distributor I bought it off and they admitted it's obvious they're trying to upsell everyone to the Pro model which is twice the prices, has a 'stand-alone' mode which allows you to at least use it as a controller outside of Live, but is still unsupported by Automap.

The fact it doesn't work with Numerology though was the end for me...i tinker in Live but i'm mainly Cubase, Protools and Numerology.

Yup, new MIDI API, I finally got a chance to review the docs properly, and I will have one to play with in a couple days. I got the regular one instead of the Pro, but the Pro has a mode that matches the note mapping on the MkII, so the update will cover both.

Cheers,
Jim

It is always tricky for me to put dates on anything, but I think it's fair to assume Numerology will have proper support for it sometime in Sept, likely sooner…

Jim

Thanks Jim, I've returned the mk2 and hope to get a Pro next week sometime.

Should be some exciting possibilities for Numerology integration?

I'm not expecting that the Pro will work much differently, but I will try to get velocity sensitivity working where appropriate…. BTW: The LpadII showed up today, but I expect I'll not get a chance to do much with it till next week...

Cheers,
Jim
