Great to hear about version 4, the midi import option sounds great. I'm curious to see how it will function.

Thumbs up Coolness!

Great work Jim! I'm looking forward to the possibility of additional launchpad functionality. It's been really inspiring to be able to use the launchpad for most sequencing functions. The less I use the blasted mouse the better.

There'll be a 'midi drop well' in the MonoNote, PolyNote & DrumSeqs. When you drop a clip, the sequencer will do a 'best match' conversion to the sequencer's native capabilities. So it will not work for arbitrarily complex MIDI clips, but would be fine for, say, a few tracks worth of drum hits or, in the case of the PolyNote, most clips that don't involve lots of overlapping notes, etc.

Cheers,
Jim

Indeed -- I've been testing with a dual-Launchpad setup and even though it isn't ready for primetime yet, it's pretty sweet -- drums on one, bass on the other, or dual counterpoint synths, etc. Makes me want to have extra hands....

Cheers,
Jim

It would be a bonus to be able to work beyond 32 steps in a note sequencer but I can see how it might be a challenge due the physical limitations of the control surface.

Well, if you had 4 Launchpads ganged together....

Cheers,
Jim

Little late to the party but....

Can't wait for the upgrade. Glad you've decided to improve upon what's already there before getting too ahead of yourself (unlike other apps.. won't mention any names).

MIDI import/export will be really useful. I've got a ton of MIDI files from past machines(MPC's, etc..). Should be fun to see what happens when they're brought into Numerology.

Most excited about multiple Launchpad support. Like you said.... one for drums, one for bassline, etc... oh man, it'll be super cool in a "live" situation. And used Launchpads are super cheap.

Looks like Im going to have to finally bite the bullet and upgrade to Lion

As always, great work Jim.
