64-bit version of live 9 at the ready, I already have a template set with multiple instances of numerology that crashes live with an out of memory error. So looking forward to this, also don't mind beta testing

Oh, and push is in the post tomorrow (hint, hint)

Pardon this potentially stupid question...

Given that Numerology acts both as plug-in and as host -- how will N4 work with hosts that are running in 32-bit mode, and AU plugs that are 32-bit.

Assuming that it won't work, will N4 be switchable between 32/64 bit modes?

I've split the big todo list into 2 parts, pre beta and post beta. All the features in the pre-beta list are nearly finished, but I'm working through the details. There are a lot of details, but I'm working through them...

And, I'm a bit curious, why is the template set so big? Sample libraries??

I'm curious to know 2 things -- though I'm sure this info is already on the web somewhere....
- Is it really fully addressable via MIDI
- What mode does it need to be in to allow 3rd party stuff to use it -- like the User2 btn on the lpad...

Cheers,
Jim

The app will ship as a 32/64 bit binary, probably with 32 bit mode as the default -- you can change that setting for any app in the Finder via "Get Info". When testing and implementing things, I regularly flip between running a 32 or 64 bit build.

The plugins & ReWire driver will also ship as 'combo' binaries. The plugin APIs make sure that only the correct binary is loaded.

Cheers,
Jim

Someone has put up an initial spec, looks promising...

Does this mean you will make numerology controllable with a push .

I'm looking into it -- it will depend on if I can control it well enough via MIDI to implement the same mapping that is there for the Launchpad, as well as when I can get my hands on one, and finding the time to do it. Hopefully I can do it and the Livid Ohm RBG at the same time -- I did a big internal rewrite of the Launchpad mapping last fall so I could more easily support other grid controllers, so the time to really test it out is coming...

Default N4

Jim,
Did you say that N4 will have midi drag and drop going in and out of N?
