Default Stack parameter midi learn problem

Hi everyone, newbie Numerology user here. Absolutely loving it so far, wish I'd bought it years ago! Oh well.

I'm having difficulty mapping controller cc's to stack parameters. When I ctrl-click and choose 'Learn Midi CC' nothing happens... is there meant to be a secondary window showing the cc it has learned? Even if I move the controller anyway, it doesn't seem to have learned anything. If I manually edit the controller mappings for a stack, I get the same result (i.e. nothing).

I can successfully midi learn the global params when I go into 'Controller Setup..' but I'm getting no joy when using stacks. BTW, I have my controller (which is 'Midi Fighter Twister') set as input on the stacks. I have also tried both the VST and full version app.

I'm obviously doing something pretty basic wrong but have read the manual / trawled the forum and am still pulling my hair out! Any help gratefully received.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi matt!

I use the same controller (Midi Fighter Twister) and have the same problem: Midi Learn CC and the "Learn" in the Dialog Box are not working.

Even After reading the post you referred to (http://forum3.five12.com/vbForum/showthread.php?t=3409), I still can't figure out the problem.

Also, I confirmed with another software that my Twister was still working and sending Midi.

p.s: Jim! In the future, a "MIDI Detecting Light" in be great.

Thank you!

Email me a screenshot of your "Controller Setup" for the Twister:

Yup -- that would be a good add for the controller pages. Mini workaround: set that controller as an input to a stack, that'll at at least confirm Numerology can 'hear' it. I always use the MIDI Monitor from snoize.com to view MIDI data.

Cheers,
Jim
