Default Sound changes with numerology without changing presets of the AU instruments

Hello,
all the discussions about breeding and morphing brought me to think about this:
How to handle Sound changes with numerology without changing presets of the AU instruments.

For this examples the Apple Synth is used that everyone can see and hear whats going on without the need to download/install anything extra.
This examples should also work with the demo version of Numerology.

To make things more easy when you want to put in your own instruments there are always two instances of the Apple Synth are used that can been replaced or paralleled.

The main idea is to avoid clicks and pops while changing sounds / presets of AU instruments. While thinking of this, there came some ideas of morphing between two presets even between two different instruments.
To make this it is needed to have two instances of the same Instrument or two different instruments.
Then you have the possibility to switch or morph between them in different ways.

The simpliest way is to have both instances of the same instrument side by side and fade between the audio.
Here are two LFOs used to mix between the two Instruments. The first sends a normal and the second a inverted signal to the Audio Feedback Assists so that if one instrument is at its highest level the other is at its lowest.

Also very simple is to switch the MIDI between the instruments.
Here the MIDI Switch is used to switch between four Apple Synths with different Sounds every 8 beats, with the use of the clocked Mode.
Because the MIDI Switch offers only four ins and one out and we need the opposite here, you have to use a little trick with four MIDI Switches were the first has
only input one connected, the second input two, the third input three and the fourth input four. With this connections it is now possible to switch thru all for stages with the result of a simulated one input / four output midi switch.

A little more complicated is to modulate the MIDI Switch by a ModulationSeq.
You need two ParameterMods to reach the switch values in parallel.
Because the MIDI Switch offers only four ins and one out and we need the opposite here, you have to use a little trick with four MIDI Switches were the first has
only input one connected, the second input two, the third input three and the fourth input four. With this connections it is now possible to switch thru all for stages with the result of a simulated one input / four output midi switch.
NBL - 142 Sound Change by modulated MIDI switch

The next example is a more free one as the one before, with the same idea from the example before but now with four ModulationSeqs were each of them drives its own MIDI Switch. With differend step counts of the ModulationSeqs you can get a lot of single and / or sound variations from the one melody.
Please keep in mind that with this complet free selections it is possible that there are also silent steps, even some of them after each other or on the other side that all four sounds playing at once.

What was done with MIDI switches is some how similar possible with the probabillity of the NoteProcessor.
Now all ModulationSeqs are at 16 steps but they are set to Direction Random, so all variations are possible.
Please keep in mind that with this complet free selections it is possible that there are also silent steps, even some of them after each other or on the other side that all four sounds playing at once.
If you want one or more sounds to be played more often, you can make this by shifting the lower value steps more high that the random has to select more higher steps.
NBL - 144 Sound Change by probaillity

For shure it is possible to change your sound also by using the ProgChange module. When you modulate this module via ParamMod the changes could be very interesting. So try this example were a ModulationSeq changes the programm and a GateSeq sets the point when this changes were send out.
