Default Lost in the Memory Palace

I don't know if there are any Numerologists in the Toronto area, but if there are, I wanted to say: make sure you head on down to the Art Gallery of Ontario and see the title show. It's work by Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller -- all installations, all with really interesting music/sound components. It runs until August 18. Cardiff and Bures represented Canada at the Venice Biennale in 2001.

In addition there is Cardiff's The Forty Part Motet (2001) featuring a reworking of Thomas Tallis's “Spem in Alium,” 1573 -- 40 speakers in 8 groups of 5. Great stuff.
